Pattern Description:

Braeden is a unisex hat with sculptural pretzel and plait cables. It is worked in the round from the bottom up and features twisted 1x1 ribbing with twisted rib columns in between cable motifs. The crown decreases are worked into the pattern. Both charted and written instructions are included. The pattern comes in one size and should fit most adults.

Gauge:

14 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in in pattern on #8 needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Average Adult: The pattern is very stretchy and should accommodate most adult head sizes.

Materials:

  • #7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needle
  • #8 (5.0mm) 16" circular needle
  • #8 (5.0mm) set of dpns or long circular needle for magic loop

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch marker
  • cable needle
  • tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Worsted weight
