US distributor of Manos del Uruguay yarns
Good morning. We were recently provided an updated version of this pattern. On perusal I can't identify the difference from the first version. Can someone explain what it is? Thanx.
Ahoy dotteec8531153 - great question!A minor error corrected: It didn't say to bind off before cutting the yarn after finishing the lace section. Most people intuited that is what they should do, but we wanted to be sure that everything is explicit. :)Happy knitting!
I did the first 14 rows. Row 1 of the second set is confusing--seems to think we have more stitches and 3 markers. Shouldn't k to next marker be eliminated in the instructions?
I downloaded but there is no pattern. It tells me can't open file.
I am having a hard time understanding the pattern". It is clear for the rows 14 rows. But then I get confused. Do you repeat rows 1-8 13 more times increasing as indicated in notes above? Then work rows 1-6 but which rendition? The first or the last?
I figured that part out. But I am having difficulty with the sskp stitch. following your directions, I end up with 1 stitch short on row 2. All tutorials for sskp on other sites are nothing like this one. I get the ssk, pass that resulting stitch back to the ln. then I am reading that you pass the next stitch on the ln over that stitch and off the needle. then pass that ssk stitch back to the rn. If this is correct, then that row is 1 short stitch. Help anyone please!!
I'm having the same problem. Any chance of a video to demonstrate this?
Hi Kate, I finally figured this stitch out - slip, slip knitwise to right kneedle. Knit them together on the right needle. move that one stitch back to left needle, pass the next stitch over and off the left needle. move that stitch back to the right needle and keep going. I was one short on the first two rows, because of the yo and purl stitch. I was losing the yo since i was going in the wrong direction. you have to yo in the opposit direction before the purl..... Good luck and have fun! Diane
I, too, am having trouble accessing the pattern. I have the yarn and want to start knitting! Where is the pattern?
