German 'No-Wrap' Short Rows shaping.... these are so fun, you will LOVE them! If you've ever worked standard wrap and turn short rows these will thrill you, so quick - no wrapping & no holes =)

Thick, luxurious and versatile, with several ways to wear. Quick to knit - work up on large needles with Super bulky yarn (165 - 180 yds). Shaped with short rows. Worked in one piece lower right to left. Single short seam up the back.

160 -180 yds (145 -160 m) of super bulky yarn
Samples knit with: Multi color = Malabrigo 'Rasta' in Zarzamora {2 hanks}/ Black = Schulana 'Cortina' in black {I used all of 3 balls & no tassel}
US sz 15 (10mm) - 17 (12.75mm) needles: I knit tightly if you knit loosely start with US sz 15
2 stitch markers + 1 locking stitch marker (or scrap yarn)
Darning needle
1-4 buttons + elastic thread (all optional) - I like to make 2 sets of 2 different buttons into 'anywhere' buttons You just sew the different buttons together back to back with elastic thread and wrap tightly between them to make a bit of a spacer, then you can use them with either side facing out and you can put them thru the fabric at any point, allowing more wearing options than sewn down buttons. (shown in patt)

8.25 stitches and 11.5 rows = 4" (10cm) square, as knit, in seed stitch
(K1, * P1, K1 * all rows)
Your 27 stitch piece should measure aprox 13" across.
It's ok if its a little off, but it's better to be smaller than larger, seed stitch is very stretchy and the piece can be blocked lightly to size if necessary.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • one size - 13" deep by 11" at back 16" front
