Pattern Description:

A fitted hood based on the funeral effigy of
Edward of Woodstock, Prince of Wales
(June 1330 - June 1376), this is the first released pattern from the collection, "History On Two Needles."

The piece is worked from the chin up, utilizing provisional cast-ons at the jawline and forehead. The jawline sts are picked up and increased to create the neck and collar (this is where the larger needle sizes are used), and the forehead sts are picked up and bound off using an i-cord bind off.

Instructions are given for each of the above techniques, but this may not be a project for a first time knitter....

This is a warm and flattering hood for both men and women, and will be a companion piece for the Black Prince Mini Dress (pattern to come...)
