Pattern Description:

Birchleaf is an infinity cowl that can be worn either as a single long loop or doubled around the neck. The pattern PDF gives instructions for knitting the cowl, which requires 410 yards/375 m of fingering or light fingering weight yarn. Stitch patterns are provided in both written form and a chart.

You'll also need US5/3.75mm knitting needles and US #4/3.50mm needles OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Gauge: 22 sts/30 rows = 4"/10 cm in the Lace Pattern after blocking

Pattern difficulty: advanced beginner

Skills required include knitting, purling, increases and decreases, provisional cast-on, and three-needle bind-off. The pattern notes provide links to helpful tutorials.

Approximate finished (blocked) dimensions: 10 inches/25.5 cm wide by 50 inches/127 cm circumference
