This is a quick and easy project that you will want to knit for all your friends! This snug fitting beanie is knit in a soft and warm merino wool. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The cables travel up the hat and hide the decreases used to shape the crown. Four sizes are presented, each with a different number of cables and/or pattern repeats.
12.5 sts and 13 rows = 2 inches in cable pattern worked in the rnd with larger needle.
I am a knitwear designer living in northern Canada. I love to design and knit hats, mittens, scarves, and socks. In my climate, knitwear is a necessity! I like clean and simple designs and am drawn to cables, ribbing, stockinette, and classic stitch patterns. I especially love working with natural fibres like merino wool, cotton, silk, and cashmere.
