A friend suggested that I design a cell phone pouch with a strap and that got the creative juices flowing. It's so easy to knit a gazillion of these once you get going! They are incredibly fast to make and so fun to embellish.
The pouch itself is knitted and begun with a provisional cast-on, ended with Kitchener Stitch, and then a picot bind-off is worked at the top edge.
Now comes the fun! The embellishments are worked in both knitting and crochet with both options provided for working the corkscrew and strap. Add your own beads and charms and, voila - the perfect accessory!

After 20 years of working in music and worship arts, I have had the joy of spending the last seven years teaching and encouraging knitters, as well as designing knitwear.
I am hopelessly addicted to making beautiful, colorful things.
