Pattern Description:

Beatrice is a felted bucket hat with a plait cabled hat band. The hat is worked from the top-down and is felted to size. The cabled band is hand sewn on after felting and takes a small amount of worsted weight yarn. Both written and charted instructions are included for the band.

13 stitches and 16.5 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Average Adult: Pattern is written for one size and felted to fit the recipient


  • #11 (8.0mm) 24" circular needle
  • #11 (8.0mm) set of dpns or long circular needle for magic loop
  • #6 (4.0mm) set of dpns

  • stitch marker
  • cable needle
  • tapestry needle
  • sewing needle
  • sewing thread that coordinates with CC
