Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, ability to knit in the round and read a basic lace chart

Pattern Description:

These lightweight gloves add a nice feminine touch to your winter wardrobe. Beads and lace on the front create a decorative effect, while the wool yarn keeps your hands warm in the cold. Perfect for your morning bicycle commute, ice-skating, or an evening out.


32 sts x 42 rows =4" in stst on size 2 US (2.75 mm) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished circumference (measured around hand just above thumb): 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8)" Note that these gloves are meant to be fairly snugif you are between sizes, knit the smaller size.


  • 150 (175, 200, 222) yards lace weight yarn. Yarn used in gloves pictures is a 100% wool with 115 yds per 25 g
  • 204 (250, 304, 334) seed beads (glove shown use size 6/0)
  • 12 inches scrap yarn for thumb gussets
  • Stitch holder (scrap yarn or a #2 or smaller circular needle can be used instead)
  • size 2 US (2.75 mm) double pointed needles
  • stitch markers (2)
