Look beyond your usual perception of what a "necklace" is to the idea of "lace for your neck" thus opening up the possibilities for different ways to wear this neck scarf..
Adorn your neckline with a crescent of color and beads. Beaded Crescent Neck Lace starts with an elegant beaded loops lace edging. Then fill out the shape with simple garter stitch short rows that let the colors of your yarn sing in accompaniment to sparkly beads. More beads edge the upper neckline in a pretty bind off to complete your neck lace.
Wear it simply beautiful all by itself as a little neck scarf, or add a clasp and wear as a necklace - your choice. The weight of the beads adds just enough body to the fabric to stay in place.
Construction: Bottom up, beaded loops lace edging used as basis for cast on; simple short rows; beaded bind off; no seams to sew
Beading technique: Beads strung on project yarn
5 sts/inch over garter stitch
