Mittens are knit using an old Scandinavian technique called 2-end knitting (Tvaandsstickning). This method will keep these mittens more wind resistant and surprisingly soft. The trim work is a simple double knitting technique - super easy and fun.
There are only 2 kinds of knitted mittens that are practical and will keep the snow from penetrating the mittens - felted mittens an twined mittens.
