Beginner
Knits up quickly.
Perfect for clogs on chilly days.
Compliments variegated AND self striping yarns....and of course semi-solid and solids as well:)
Although it fits my sizable cankles, it will work for those of you with average legs too:) Sizing modifications are simple and are included.
Add a suede slipper sole and you've got a rocking pair of slippers to plod about the house in.
What's a cankle? When your calf is so large that it seems to blend into your foot with no tapering at the ankle.......................its oh so sexy and feminine. Why? After 8 years of field hockey and catching for my softball teams ALONG with my Scottish HIGHLANDER DNA, I have developed an impressive case of cankles. NOTE: My cankles are NOT fat! If you call them fat AND I hear you, I'll use my power cankles to chase after you:)
11 stitches and 17 rows = 2 inches in stockinette

At the same time, I noticed a woman with a cute over sized bag and asked about it. When I found out how it was made, I thought, I can do that. And I did! Then all of my neighbors wanted one.

I am completely a self taught knitter. When I was an EXTREMELY BORED kid, I fashioned some needles from the dowels I pulled off of a couple of wooden coat hangers. I used an encyclopedia to learn the knit and purl stitches .
I did not touch another pair of needles again until I was 34 and needed that diaper bag. Since then, I have sold hundreds of bags, over 2,000 patterns. Although I mostly self publish, my designs have been included in bestselling books, magazines and knitting calendars.
