Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit stitch
  • purl stitch

Pattern Description:

If you've got just a few hours and you need a baby gift, this stocking cap will meet your needs. It's so fast and easy to knit! Made in red and white, it's a great Christmas picture hat. In different colors, it's wonderful throughout the cool weather months. The hat is always a great baby shower gift.

After many years of selling this hat to enthusiastic parents and baby photographers, I'm now making the 7 page pattern with 3 illustrated tutorials available to knitters.

What makes this pattern different from others you may have seen?

1) It's knitted flat so you don't have to manipulate double pointed needles.

2) There are no abbreviations used. The pattern is written out in clear, conversational English.

3) The beautiful, original design is shaped to fit babies' heads so the hat doesn't slip off.

4) The 3 illustrated tutorials teach you how to pin and steam block, do two different types of seams, and make a perfect tassel.

5) The hat is knitted in worsted weight yarn at a gauge that drapes well and is comfortable for babies. This hat will not overpower babies' little heads.

6) There are 32 color photos.

7) The pattern includes hints and tips for improving your knitting.

8) There are 4 variations to the main pattern described.

9) Every step of the knitting is carefully explained so that perfect results are guaranteed.

10) Free email access to the designer (me) is included and means success for the knitter.

You will get the PDF for this pattern within 24 hours of payment.
