Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in the round on double pointed needles
  • You need 4-ply Acrylic yarn or 4-ply sock yarn (Merino), or 4-ply Merino yarn. (ca, 209 " 210 m/50g) about 17 g in black, 15 g in yellow, 10 g in off-white or white
  • A set of double pointed needles size 3.00 mm (5 needles).
  • A tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Pattern Description:

Cute little bee baby hat with cute comic bees all around and a sunflower at the top.

It(tm)s completely knitted in cheap and soft 4-ply Acrylic yarn.
You can also use Merino yarn of similar weight.

There are at most two colors in one round. So the pattern is easier to knit than you may think!

I gifted this beanie to a little baby girl. Mom and baby love it!
Fits perfectly. Baby is 1 month old now and I knitted the smaller version.

Knitting gauge: 2 x 2 cm = 6 stitches and 7 rows in stranded knitting.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Fits a head cirumreference of about: 40 cm (Size S) /42 cm (Size M)

Suggested yarn:

214 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Buttinette Versailles Acrylic yarn but anything similar will do!
