Hi Julie. I'm working on my second hat...I love the pattern. The first one seemed
a little big for a newborn. The pattern states to continue in garter until the MAIN section of the helmet is 1.5". My question is about the stocking stitch. Is the 4-3/4" part also for the main part of the hat or does that measurement include the ear
flaps? Thanks.

I've been experimenting w/this pattern. The hats are so nice, but seem to run bigger than stated. Even my guage of 4x4 on a # needle is bigger than 4x4. So I tried a #6 needle & it'ss still bigger than a 4x4 swatch. I am using the required Medium 4 yarn. What am I doing wrong?

I love this pattern but I wanted to make one for my husband. Would you be able to adjust the pattern to make it larger? Thank you :)

which is basically the same hat, but knit in bulky/chunky weight yarn, It goes up to adult sizes.

This pattern is SO cute! I'm trying to use the same yarn that I used to make the Jaden baby boots to make this hat. Could you use a yarn that calls for US 6 needles with 5.5sts per inch? (The ply isn't noted on the label and I'm still very much a beginner!) Thanks!

So far I have made three of these hats. They are way too cute! The pattern is very easy to follow and they knit up in no time at all! Thanks!

Any way we could have this pattern written in an adult size?

Couldn't the hat be knit on say a #9 or 10 US needle with a chunky weight yarn? And instead of stockinette stitch knit the top of the hat in brioche with decreases when you get towards the crown of the head? That way the hat will be more stretchy and fit almost anyone?
