Pattern Description:

Ashwyn is a name derived from the word Ashvin, a month on the Hindu calendar. Ashwyn is a slouchy beret which was created in conjunction with Malabrigo Stockpile Month, so the name seemed fitting. It was also inspired by the 198 Yds of Heaven shawlette by Christy Verity, and coordinates nicely with that scarf. Knit from the top down, Ashwyn features a leaf lace pattern that blooms from the crown. The hat is finished off with 1x1 ribbing.

20 sts/30 rows per 4 inches in pattern blocked

16" US 7/4.5 mm (for hat) and US 5/3.75mm (for ribbing) circular needles, DPNs US 7/4.5 mm, or size needed for gauge
120yds/110m - 140yds/128m worsted yarn, such as Malabrigo Worsted (100% Merino Wool - 210 yds/192m per 100g skein)
