Girls, Infant/Baby

Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting in the round, on either double pointed needles (for smaller sizes), or circular needles
  • Purl

Pattern Description:

Gorgeous, for a photo prop, this would be so sweet for big sister and baby sister props, or for a wedding accessory!

Uses only 6-10 yards handspun yarn! Pattern comes with a list of yarn shop sources, including shops in the U.S., Canada, U.K. Australia, Italy, and Germany!

The Aria pattern uses beginner skills, and knits up very quickly! You will need to know or learn how to knit on double pointed needles (for preemie-6 months sizes), or knit on a circular needle, for the larger sizes. This is not difficult, and is a great time to learn! It's hard to go wrong, here!

You may also use your own handspun yarn, 4-5 wraps per inch (gauge of about 2", per inch), and is a perfect way to make leftover handspun yarn spectacular!

For experienced art yarn lovers, this may seem a simple pattern, but let me assure you, that I have taken all of the guesswork out of sizing!

***For babies and small children, please note that this item is for a photography prop only, and must be used under direct adult supervision, for safety.***

Coming soon in larger sizes.

Thank you so much, to Keri Messina, in Arcata, CA, for the wonderful photos!!!/keriamessinaphotography

I have always been inspired, by hand knit items, but it seemed beyond reach, for me...until I took some knitting classes!
From there, it became my relaxation, and creative outlet!
My passion is designing, and I love to spin my own yarns, as well!
I love to see the finished product, on the baby models....
