Basic Skills Necessary:

  • increase
  • stranded colorwork
  • use double point needles

Pattern Description:

Panda Silk is an ideal yarn for fingerless mitts, combining a lovely feeling with warmth and shine.
The argyle pattern adds a classic air to any style.

Pattern is worked in the round using double pointed needles, and can easily be sized down for a child by simply removing pattern repeats, or sized up for a man by adding one in.

Pattern uses approximately 100 yards of each color... a great way to bust your stash and use up leftovers! Pictures show Panda Silk in Bamboo Green (#3005) and Lemon Cream (#3010)


8 sts x 9 rows = 1 inch in stranded pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Women's medium (8")


  • US 1 (2.25 mm) double point needles
  • stitch markers
  • Crystal Palace Panda Silk, in contrasting colors (or alternative fingering weight yarn)

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Fingering weight
