Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, cable, kitchener or grafting

Pattern Description:

This generously-sized, unisex cowl features three giant ribbed cables twisting their way around the circumference of the cowl. The cowl is knit flat and grafted together for a seamless, and reversible, result! Wear it around your shoulders to keep the chill away or wrap it twice around your neck for the ultimate cozy accessory.

16 sts and 16 rows = 4" 10 cm in cable pattern, after blocking
10 sts and 16 rows = 4" 10 cm in st st, after blocking

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 56" (142 cm) in circumference and 13" (33 cm) deep


  • 560 yards of bulky-weight yarn, US 13 (9.0 mm) needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Waste yarn for provisional cast on, Cable needle (cn), Tapestry needle
