Pattern Description:
I love lace stitches worked in more substantial yarns. The lace stitch in this quick-to-knit cowl produces a pretty scalloped edge. The cowl is worked in-the-round from the top down and all the increasing is worked into the stitch pattern for you.
Gauge:
17.5 sts = 4" over lace pattern.
Look for a yarn that knits to 14 - 16 sts = 4" over St st.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- one size
- circumference at top edge: 16.5"
- length: approx 7.5"
Materials:
- 130yds heavy worsted weight yarn
- Sample is shown in Blue Sky Alpacas - Worsted Hand Dyes, 50% royal alpaca, 50% merino wool; 100yds/100g; color #2008 light pink, 2 skeins
You Will Also Need:
- size 9 (5.5mm) 16" circular needle or size to obtain gauge
- stitch markers, tapestry needle
