Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in the round on double pointed needles

Pattern Description:

Take a bite!
Sweet and appetizing (mmh) fingerless apple mitts with a beautiful matching corrugated ribbing.

Note: for bigger sizes use bigger needles 2.5mm or 3mm.


Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch: 10 stitches and 11 rows.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • These mittens fit size S and M. (up to 22 cm hand circumreference)
  • For bigger sizes go up one needle size and/or use 5-ply yarn or both


  • 50 g of yellow 4-ply sock yarn , 50 g of red 4-ply sock yarn, 30 g of chocolate brown 4-ply sock yarn, 25 g of green sock yarn (I used Buttinette Sckli sock yarn and Lana Grossa sock yarn).
  • 5 double pointed needles size 2.00 mm.
  • Note: For bigger hands use needle size 2.5 to 3.0 mm.
  • Alternatively you can use 4- to 5-ply Merino or Acrylic yarn of similar weight

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
