This shawl is knit using a hearty worsted weight yarn and US size 8 needles. I recommend a natural animal fiber that can be blocked to highlight the lace pattern.
The pattern is worked in 3 sections at the same time with repeating 12 rows. It starts at the right side, gradually increases in width to the center and then gradually decreases to the left side.
Special instructions for increasing and decreasing are included.
Pattern is written and is charted.
The top edge features a braided cable edge and the bottom edge has a diamond lace pattern.
There is also a handy grid to check off each rows as you complete them.
I named this project Anna, after my mom, who taught me to knit and has been my inspiration for many years.
4 stitches per inch / 6 rows per inch
I've been knitting all my life and currently spend most of my waking hours thinking about new ways to knit classic accessories. I love to spin my own yarn, learn new knitting techniques and get creative with felted wool.
