Amber's Birthday Mitts

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to knit in the round, purl, and and if you've never done a cable stitch, learn how to do an easy cable stitch.

A lovely pair of mitts dressed up with an intricate looking but very simple cable pattern. If you have never tried a cable stitch before, this pattern is a great introduction to the technique.
These mitts were knit up with a smooshy wool/cotton blend. The yarn used for the model has been discontinued but any nice, worsted weight wool will work very well.

Approximately 6 stitches per inch in stockinette.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size fits most. You may go up a needle size to make them slightly larger.

Suggested yarn:

150 yards of Worsted weight
