A lovely pair of mitts dressed up with an intricate looking but very simple cable pattern. If you have never tried a cable stitch before, this pattern is a great introduction to the technique.
These mitts were knit up with a smooshy wool/cotton blend. The yarn used for the model has been discontinued but any nice, worsted weight wool will work very well.
Approximately 6 stitches per inch in stockinette.
150 yards of Worsted weight
My mom taught me to crochet and sew when I was a child. I learned to knit a few years ago. I have always enjoyed fiber arts as a hobby. Now I have started a new venture. I have an online store called World Village Fibers. My goal is to eventually open a shop in my hometown. Update: I'm very fortunate to have found a nice space for a small fiber arts shop/studio and plan to open in 2012!
