Pattern Description:

We love cowls, and this simple pattern is a great beginner project! If you're just learning to knit in the round and want a project with a bit of interest, Alice is your gal.


20 sts and 28 rows = 4" in StSt on 3.75 mm needles after blocking

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 10.5 (12.5, 12.5)" Wide (unstretched), 20 (27, 60)" circumference.


  • 1 - 16" 3.75mm (US 5) circular needle or 1 pair size 3.75mm (US 5) straight needles. 1 - 16" 3.25mm (US 3) circular needle or 1 pair size 3.25mm (US 3) straight needles.
  • The Fibre Company Road to China Light, 65% Baby Alpaca, 15% Silk, 10% Camel & 10% Cashmere. 159yards/50grams per skein. 2 (3, 7) skeins. Shown using 3 skeins in Dark Amethyst.

You Will Also Need:

  • Darning needle, crochet hook of comparable size, few yards of smooth waste yarn.
