Pattern Description:

ALGEBRA is as easy as 2+2.

It is a simple cowl worked in the round from bottom to top. It starts and also finishes with Garter stitch with a simple knit-and-purl pattern in between which creates a series of diamond shapes. It can be made in three sizes: small, tall and long.


Gauge (after blocking):
20 sts x 34 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4x4) in pattern worked in the round with needle 4 mm (US 6).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • small (tall, long). Width: about 64 (64, 115) cm / 25.5 (25.5, 46). Height: about 27 (34, 19) cm / 10.75 (13.75, 7.75).


  • Materials: Drops LIMA by DROPS (50 g, 98 m/90 y, 65% wool & 35% alpaca) or any other DK weight yarn, Approx yardage: 240 (320, 460) m / 260 (360, 500) y,

You Will Also Need:

  • Needles: US 6 - 4 mm: sizes small and tall - 40 cm/16, size long - 80 cm/32 circular needle or appropriate size to get gauge, stitch marker.

Suggested yarn:

500 yards of DK weight
