Pattern Description:

In need of a literally last-minute gift? I swatched, cast on, and finished this cowl all within 4 hours. Knit with bulky yarn, the finished cowl is cozy and warm. The CC drawstring allows the wearer to tighten or loosen the cowl for added or decreased warmth. Perfect for active friends and family members!

Sample shown was knit with 3 skeins of Blue Sky Alpacas Bulky Naturals: 2 in "Porcupine" (col. 1003), and 1 in "Jasmine" (col. 1213). Knit on size US 15/ 10mm circular needles, 24"/ 61cm long. Pattern includes both US Standard and metric sizing.


10 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette


  • 90 yards (82 m) of bulky weight yarn for Main Color
  • 45 yards (40 m) of bulky weight yarn for Contrast Color
  • One set of 24-inch/ 61 cm long US 15/ 10mm circular needles
