Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, increase/decrease

Pattern Description:

A pretty scarf featuring a highly-textured lace pattern which extends to all edges, creating beautifully irregular selvedges and hems. Left unblocked, the lace will be more deeply textured with less openwork. A great stitch pattern to feature fine handspun yarn.


26 sts and 34 rows = 4" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 7.5" W x 39" L (stretched and blocked)


  • approximately 300 yards of soft fingering weight yarn
  • Needles:size US6 (4mm)or size to obtain gauge; a needle with a slender, tapered point is highly recommended

Suggested yarn:

300 yards of Fingering weight
