Basic Skills Necessary:

Pattern Description:

A fabric with a cabled look, but no cables and a little openwork but no lace, makes this top-down sock in five sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) universally appealing. Featuring an easy to memorize pattern with lots of textural interest, this project travels well and knits up quickly into a sleek, lightweight sock suitable for casual or dress wear.
Substituting needles and/or yarn may result in an overall variation in size.

Gauge:

32 sts and 48 rows = 4" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 6.75(8, 9, 10, 11.25) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 8(9, 10, 11, 12) inches around

Materials:

  • 275(325, 375, 425, 475) yds of any springy sock yarn with approximately 400 yards per 4 ounces.
  • Needles:DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.

Suggested yarn:

475 yards of Fingering weight
