Pattern Description:

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a beginner's metal disk ring.
While it is fairly simple, it will help you get the feel for working with metals. These are a great design for men as well as women.
This tutorial only shows how to construct the ring, not how to texture the disk. However, you can stamp and hammer many patterns onto your metal disk with any texturing hammer or metal stamping kit. We used a metal embossing machine to emboss our metal disks.

Materials:

Flush cutters  Round nose pliers  Chain nose pliers  Flat nose pliers  Bail Pliers (8mm tubular jaw)  Ruler  Metal hole puncher  Black permanent marker  Ring mandrel  Rawhide, rubber or nylon mallet  Antiquing method, as and if desired  Buffing pad, if antiquing  Steel wool 00 aught (optional)  3m Radial Bristle Disk (optional)  Silicon Polish disk (optional)

You Will Also Need:

24ga (~0.5mm)metal disk of your choice ? 18ga (~1mm) round wire ? 18ga (~1mm) half round, half hard wire
