Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This is advanced level project, although the instructions are very clear and thorough, and beginners to intermediate students can successfully complete this project with patience.

Pattern Description:

This tutorial teaches the techniques to wire wrap a slider style pendant, with a prong setting. It can be altered to set either a cab, or faceted stone. Modifying the gauge of wire and number of prongs, it can be used to set almost any size and shape of stone. The materials listed for this project are for a 30mm by 20mm oval cab, with a 5 wire 'basket' base, but I provide details on how to measure for different stones.
