Pattern Description:

Capture someone you love with beads and keep them close with this Victorian inspired project.
Create a beaded keepsake with this elegant pendant. You will learn to bezel a photo of your choice, once encapsulated you will complete the lid, hinge and clasp, and embellish the front with delicate floral accents.
A knowledge of peyote stitch and square stitch are necessary and a little experience of bezelling cabochons would be helpful. Most suitable for advanced beaders.

Materials:

  • Approx. 4g x Size 11 Delicas
  • Approx. 2g x Size 11 seed beads (I used Tohos)
  • Approx. 2g x Size 15 seed beads (I used Miyuki)
  • Approx 1g x Size 8 seed beads (I used Miyuki)
  • 1 x 4mm Crystalett button for clasp - optional
  • A selection of small beads and crystals for embellishment
  • Chain and fi ndings of your choice to hang your fi nished pendant
  • Clear shrink plastic (unshrunk!) or acetate
  • Small piece of card in a toning colour to your project (approx 5cm x 5cm)
  • Toning beading thread - KO or Miyuki are ideal
  • Wax for strengthening and conditioning the thread (Thread Heaven is not suitable for this)
  • Beading scissors or thread zap
  • 2 x size 12 beading needles
  • Size 15 beading needle
  • Paper scissors
