My wonderful Grandmother (miss her every day) gifted me with the love of crafting. She taught me to knit, crochet and sew when I was 5. I remember making barbie doll clothes with her. Learning to knit was tricky since I'm left handed but we didn't give up. I've knit many a sweater since then. She taught me to make 'granny squares' and we joined them together to make a blanket. Embroidery came next - then macrame - weaving - and many other crafts.
My love of making jewelry started in 2011. I started with basic stringing jewelry. In late 2012 I started teaching myself to bead weave - off loom. I love creating original designs. I nest among my millions of seed beads in rural Nova Scotia. Since October 2013 I have been writing tutorials for some of my designs. I hope you like them. ~ Debra of DatzKatz

I came up with the name 'Lerchin' by taking the Le from Lentil and the rchin from Urchin. Combined Le + rchin = Lerchin.
