Pattern Description:

Whooo doesn't love owls? Especially retro micro-macrame ones? Create your own parliament of them with this nifty beginner's tutorial!

My original inspiration was those kitschy 1970's macrame owls found hanging in every spare bathroom across the country, made by well-meaning but slightly dotty relatives...


  • 4 4mm Swarovski crystals (bicones or rounds) OR 4 4mm Czech fire-polish crystals
  • 12 18" lengths of size 5 Tuff Cord or S Lon cord (your choice of colors)
  • 24 size 11 seed beads (or just buy a tube)
  • 2 earring hooks
  • 2 10mm or 9mm jump rings

You Will Also Need:

  • Scissors
  • Straight pins
  • Clear nail polish
  • Padded clipboard or macram board
