A Southwestern style square stitch or loom pattern. PDF is for the band only -- pic shows a sweep style necklace using the pattern.
To finish off the piece of loomwork, many people mount it onto a backing of leather or Ultrasuede. Here's a video that explains how. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn-8T7pM0cY The strands of beads that connect the loomed pieces are then made with new threads, not the warp threads from the loomed piece. Since the loomwork is 21 beads across, you're going to have 22 warp threads, or 24 if you double thread on the outside edges. The necklace photo shows only 13 strung strands of beads. The beads strands are wider than the columns of beads in the loomwork because of the shape of the beads. Many people start the threads for each strand by tying a few knots in the thread then going through the backing about an inch from the edge, taking small stitches on the back and passing through some of the beads on the front as they move closer to the edge of the backing. String the beads then connect to the next section of loomwork in the same manner, ending with a few knots.I hope this helps. :-)
I got the pattern but I don't know how you make this , I can use the loom but what do I do after that
Thank you! And you're quite welcome :)
Stacey, that is beautiful!! Thank you for sharing the pattern!!
The downloadable file is a standard .pdf. I don't know what device you are using so you will have to get help on how to download/open it on your particular system. I just added a photo (.jpg) of the graph as a possible alternative, so if you can right-click and 'save image as' you should be able to download it and view it.
Hi,I can't open the pattern. Can you help? I love this pattern and can't wait to bead it on my loom.
Hi, I was wondering how you attached the strands of bead to the loom work. Thanks
