Embroidery is all the rage. Covered buttons provide a unique look to any garment. I designed a machine embroidery pattern that is for the assembly of covered buttons. These adorable little buttons will provide a lovely personal touch to any garment. They can also be used to make precious one of a kind jewelry items such as earrings, pins, or hair ties.
This embroidery pattern produces a 7/8 inch covered button with an Owl motif. For easier assembly the design includes a circular stitch line that serves as a template for the cutting line eliminating the need for manual centering.
The files that are included with the purchase of this design are: A PDF worksheet displaying stitching order and embroidery machine files supported by Craftsy (.art, .hus, .pec, .pes, .sew, .vip)
I hope you enjoy the buttons! Have fun experimenting with different color schemes.
Kits to make any of these items can be found with an easy internet search but if you need further ideas feel free to message me and I will be glad to send a list of websites.
For better results use tear away stabilizer. After the design is done remove the stabilizer and use a lightweight fusible interfacing on the back (wrong side) of the design. This provides support without bulk.
If embroidery files that are not supported are required please contact me. If I can write in that file format I will be happy to email you the file you need after your purchase. However, most software that comes with your embroidery machine can convert any file type to the type you need. Touch up to the design might be necessary to duplicate the look of the original design.
As most of us are, I am very passionate about sewing and I've been sewing for as long as I can remember. My desire to design was born out of my love and skill of many fiber arts. I have also grown quite fond of embroidering and digitizing. I plan to have many patterns and embroidery designs on Craftsy and I hope people enjoy making the items as much as I love designing them.
