Pattern Description:

Labor Day, established as a way to recognize the contributions of Labor Unions to the prosperity of their country, closes out the summer, and welcomes the autumn. When I was a kid, Labor Day meant back-to-school time, and my favorite part of getting ready for school was shopping for school supplies to put in my pencil box. The smell of new pencils, crayons, and glue meant a fresh start to the school year, and new challenges ahead!

Included: One PDF pattern.

Finished Size: Intended for 6 embroidery hoop.

Suggested DMC Floss: #445, Light Lemon; #350, Medium Coral; #334, Medium Baby Blue; #761, Light Salmon; #414, Dark Steel Grey; #3854, Medium Autumn Gold.

Additional Materials Required: 2 12" squares of muslin or other woven cotton fabric, fabric marking pen or pencil, safety pins or masking tape, 6" or smaller embroidery hoop to use while stitching, embroidery needle, scissors.

Notes: Use 2 strands of DMC Floss throughout, unless otherwise noted.

Stitches Used: Back Stitch, Straight Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knot, Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch.
