Pattern Description:

PDF Download - Variation on Rail Fences - An original cross stitch chart, pattern, design by CrossStitchCards.

This is a quick and easy design, excellent for use on greetings cards, or other home decor items. It is a variation of the Rail Fences design used in Amish Quilts featuring blocks of colour arranged in different ways to produce an interesting pattern.

There are whole stitches only, no fractionals or backstitch. There are four separate patterns included. Variations with one colour group, two colour groups, and three colour groups, plus a further variation showing the design in Christmas reds and greens.

The colours listed in the pattern are simply a suggestion, you can, of course, use your own color choices, and fabric to produce many different results using one pattern One skein of each color listed will be sufficient to complete each design. It is excellent for beginners, and the pattern is clear and easy to follow. All cross stitches are done in 2 strands of thread.
