Pattern Description:

Easy to make Snowflake table decor with hand embroidery and wool applique.

Simple wool applique is so relaxing! If you haven't tried wool applique yet, you will love it- no edges to turn under! Just cut out the shapes, pin, and start sewing. Metallic thread adds sparkle to pretty blue wool.

Great portable hand-sewing project. Stitch while sitting by the fire, watching television, or travelling in the car.

Simple step-by-step diagrams for embroidery stitches are included.

This lovely penny rug/table runner can be displayed through the holidays and all through the winter months. Ornaments are delightful hanging on the tree, in a window, or attached to a wrapped gift to make it extra pretty and special.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size of Penny Rug- approx. 12 x 23"
  • Finished size of Ornament- approx. 3 1/4" diameter

Materials:

  • Medium Blue Wool- 21 x 24"
  • Dark Blue Wool- approx. 1/4 yard
  • Light Blue Wool- scraps
  • Ecru/Light Beige Wool- scraps
  • Wool thread or embroidery floss in Light Blue and Ecru
  • Cotton thread- Dark Blue, Light Blue, Ecru
  • Metallic Thread- Silver (for example, YLI Fine Metallic Thread)
  • Ribbon, 1/4" wide for ornament

You Will Also Need:

  • freezer paper
  • tacky glue/white glue
  • sewing needles
  • pins
  • scissors
