Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You will need to know how to do a basic backstitch.

Pattern Description:

Skylacs is one of my favorite patterns. Tall and stately, these whimsical flowers would look beautiful framed, hooped or stitched onto a quilt. The blooms in the sample are beaded which adds a bit of beauty and bling to the finished design. Not into beads? You can skip this step and simply stitch the design sans beads. It's still very pretty without beads.

This project is suitable for beginners and well as advanced stitchers.

With this PDF pattern you will receive a color copy of the finished stitchery, a black and white pattern to trace, instructions and a supply/floss list based on my finished sample.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (get it free on the internet) to use this file.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished size of this design is 7 3/4" x 9 1/2"

Materials:

  • muslin fabric, backing fabric, embroidery hoop, embroidery floss, your favorite stitching needle .

You Will Also Need:

  • You will need a writing utensil to trace the pattern. I like to use a .005 micron pen. If you choose to bead these flowers you will need a beading needle and beading thread.
