Skill Level:

little skill level requirement Novice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cut with templates
  • Sew by hand or Machine

Pattern Description:

This unusual bag is made from individually completed hexagons in a quilt-as-you-go method. Use the Hexes to display your embroideries! The Hexes can be done by hand or by machine and are a lot of fun to make.
The bag comes in both a purse and a tote size. Make them with novelty prints (like my Pug Puppy) or with beautiful batiks or colorful cottons. The hexagons make a self lining and there's a bit of slight of hand to the shaping of the bag.
Make it all with leisurely hand sewing or quick machine stitching. Either way, you'll make a lovely Happy Hex Bag!
