Many traditional cross-stitch designs extoll the virtues of simplicity in a finished object that is both complicated and, strictly speaking, useless. I enjoy this irony and wanted to celebrate it in this design that is a most complicated way of lauding the simple.
The pattern includes a full-color PDF, as well as sizing information and thread required for stitching this design on14-ct and 18-ct Aida fabric.
I learned to knit in 2001 while recovering from an illness and quickly began modifying patterns and then designing my own garments.
My designs have since been seen in Knitty, Petite Purls, Knitscene, and on Boing-Boing.
I started designing cross-stitch patterns when I couldn't find patterns that were the right mix of traditional and sarcastic.
