Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic cross-stitch, patience, and time!

Pattern Description:

This cute little owl peered out at us from under the stone in the zoo. He kept coming back and peeping out, and we couldn't resist taking this photograph.

His eyes seemed to glow in the dark under the stone, and I think I managed to capture that same feeling when I converted the photograph into a cross stitch chart.

This chart contains a fair amount of "confetti" stitching - necessary for a spectacular almost photo-like final result. Colours may seem odd as you are stitching them, but have faith, at the end, when you take a step back from the work, this little guy will be peering back out at you bright eyed!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 200 stitches x 161 stitches
  • 8 inches x 6.5 inches on 25 count fabric
  • 65 colours in chart, full colour listing given (matched to DMC palette)

  • sewing needle, dmc thread, fabric
