Pattern Description:

This is a set of four simple Assisi style designs suitable for use on greetings cards, home dcor or other baby related items. Great for making gifts. The are quick and easy to stitch and are great for beginners.

Each finished design measures 40 x 40 stitches. If stitched on 14 count aida or 28 count evenweave, the finished measurements will be approximately 3" x 3" (8 x 8 cm). You can, of course, use a different count of fabric, and your finished size will be different. There are whole stitches only in this design.

I have chosen four colours for these designs: blue, pink, green and yellow. Each design has a different border pattern. The colours are slightly brighter than the usual pale ones for a baby theme. This is because the design of Assisi style work requires a contrast between fabric and threads. The design is created by stitching the background, and leaving the design unstitched.

You can, of course, use your choice of colours and fabric to stitch these designs.
