Pattern Description:

Includes one PDF file on 9 pages with all the instructions needed to make your own small devil.

Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.

In this tutorial I will explain starting a piece with an adjustable loop (magic ring), finishing a piece, joining pieces, knotting and hiding yarn tails. Pattern includes unlimited support from me via email.

For a little preview, take a look at the first three pages -

You can use the same pattern to make smaller or larger toys by using finer or bulkier yarns. Make sure to pick a crochet hook at least a size smaller than suggested on the yarn label and crochet tightly enough to achieve a tight gauge that will not allow the stuffing to show through the fabric.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 11 cm (4 1/3"), with DK weight cotton and a 2,25 mm hook (US size 1/B).

  • Yarn. I used DK weight 100% cotton, 96 m = 50 g (105 yds = 50 g) / 4: medium / 10 ply / 9 wpi. You will need about 22 g of yarn - 18 g for the body and 4 g for the horns.
  • 2,25 - 2,75 mm crochet hook (US size 1/B - C) or according to the yarn.
  • Polyester fiberfill, wool or wadding for stuffing.
  • Cotton embroidery floss
  • Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.

Suggested yarn:

45 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Titan Wool
