Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Chain, single crochet, slip stitch
  • small amounts of superfine yarn or size 3 or 5 crochet cotton in four colors: red, white, green, and black

Pattern Description:

Create your own Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and elf peg dolls in no time with my original crochet pattern. You can use them to decorate for Christmas, tuck them in a stocking, or surprise a child with a festive addition to their play sets. Because these do consist of small parts, they are not recommended for children under the age of 3.

This pattern contains no abbreviations and uses only basic crocheting stitches. I'd call it easy, but not for beginners, as some of the work is very small. I'd be happy to coach a beginner through any parts that confuse them. I'm always happy to answer questions if something in a pattern is a little unclear. It is written in US crochet terms.

I also sell the pattern for Santa only, and for Santa and Mrs. Claus without the elves. Please check my shop listings for those patterns if you would rather make smaller sets.

I can't remember a time when I wasn't creating things. My mom taught me to crochet and sew, I took art lessons, and I'm now slowly learning to knit. I love the whole crafting process, from coming up with an idea or design to seeing it take shape to enjoying the finished product.
