Pattern Description:

This crochet pattern gives detailed instructions on how to create and assemble Mandy the mermaid, and her little fish friend, Tansy.

The pattern has instructions to create Mandy and Tansy in worsted weight yarn with a G hook. Mandy is 17 inches tall, and Tansy is 9 inches long.

Mandy's wig is crocheted separately, and then sewn to her head. The pattern also includes instructions for a sweet little bikini top, a tropical-like flower, a lei, and of course, Tansy the Fish.

The booklet has 16 pages of instructions and photos, including color photos of the finished doll and fish. The pattern is clearly written, with a great deal of detail.

Gauge:

Gage is not an issue as long as you use the same size hook and yarn for all pattern pieces.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished doll is about 17 inches, fish is about 9 inches

Materials:

  • Worsted Weight Yarn: Light Peach or desired skin color, Reddish Brown or desired hair color, Turquoise for lower body and tail, Aqua for bikini top, Yellow and Dark Pink for flowers, 3 colors for fish (4 oz or less needed of each color). Size G (4 - 4.5mm) hook,Large blunt tapestry needle, 5" (12.5") doll needle, blunt tapestry needle, Small, sharp scissors

You Will Also Need:

  • 12mm plastic eyes for doll, 12mm plastic eyes for fish (if glass eyes are used, the toy is not safe for children),Black embroidery thread (6 strands) for eyelashes (optional), 12-inch (30 cm) Chenille Stem, Pink pencil or blusher makeup for shading cheeks. Blue or green pencil, or eye shadow, for shading above eyes., Black fabric marker for lining eyes (optional), Polyester fiberfill stuffing
