Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.

In this tutorial I will explain starting a piece with an adjustable loop (magic ring), finishing a piece, joining pieces, knotting and hiding yarn tails. Pattern includes unlimited support from me via email.

Gauge:

You can use the same pattern to make smaller or larger toys by using finer or bulkier yarns. Make sure to pick a crochet hook at least a size smaller than suggested on the yarn label and crochet tightly enough to achieve a tight gauge that will not allow the stuffing to show through the fabric.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 18 cm (7") tall, with fingering weight cotton yarn and a 1,75 mm crochet hook.

Materials:

  • Yarn. I used fingering weight 100% cotton, 125m = 50g (137yd = 50g) / 1: super fine / 4 ply / 14 wpi. You will need about 32g or 80m (88yds) of yarn.
  • 1,75 - 2,25 mm crochet hook (US thread hook size 5 - 1) or according to the yarn.
  • Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding for stuffing.
  • Cotton embroidery floss.
  • Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.

Suggested yarn:

88 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:
