My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item.
I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week.
I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can.
All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations.
I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink.
This is a simple, top down, crochet cardigan pattern for American Girl , Gotz, or other 18" dolls. It is worked flat for the body and the sleeves are worked in the round, with directions for both short and long sleeves.
Pattern uses single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and single crochet 2 together (decrease). Any fingering / baby weight yarn can be used.
Sample was made using approximately 40 grams / 190 yards of Zwerger Garn Opal 4-fach / 4-ply sock yarn.
The name of this cardigan came from its sister shrug - one of my testers, withbuttons, suggested it for those times when your mother tells you to put on "just a little something" - well, why not for your doll, too?
My testers all did a great job trying on this cardigan on a variety of doll models - please check out the finished projects on Ravelry for an idea:
