Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Chain stitch (ch). Slip stitch (sl st). Single crochet (sc).
  • Basic hand sewing skills

Pattern Description:

This perky little schnauzer stuffed dog toy features an adorable fuzzy muzzle and eyebrows. Both the front and back legs can be positioned so that he stands or sits.

Each piece of the toy is made separately, worked in rows (2 pieces for the body and 2 pieces for each leg), and then sewn together. Pattern includes a diagram showing where to attach legs and add facial features.

US crochet terminology.


8 sts = 2" (5 cm), 11 rows = 4" (10 cm)

  • 14" (35.5 cm) wide x 14" (35.5 cm) long


  • Red Heart Super Saver yarn (Art. E300): 220 yds (201 m) main color (MC) (sample uses color 4313 Aran Fleck); 10 yds (9 m) contrasting color (CC) for Muzzle Hair (sample uses color 0360 Caf)
  • Crochet hook size F-5 (3.75 mm) U.S. or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle
  • Fiberfill stuffing
