These sculptures mimic the mathematical structure of hyperbolic coral. I keep mine on a shelf where it charges all day and lets off a soft glow at night. These sculptures are great as a learning tool for children as well as a fun toy and/or nightlight. The larger pink coral lets off a soft glow and the smaller rounder coral seems to never stop glowing. A beginner at crochet can produce these patterns if they use a more traditional yarn, but I am listing this pattern as more advanced due to the difficulty of using this nylon glow in the dark yarn. Remember to keep some lotion or bee wax on hand in order to lubricate the yarn as it heats up becomes stuck to the crochet hook.

I learned to crochet in third grade along side my older brother. My mother wanted to keep us occupied during our many moves across the United States. Find my knitted items for sale on etsy!
